COMMERCIAL PROJECT ENGINEER - FLEXIBLE

Responsible for directing the technical development of national commercial solar PV and the technical personnel assigned to these projects. The project engineer has a dual responsibility to 1) engineering manager – to provide superior technical implementation and engineering design quality and 2) project manager – to manage the technical design within budget and schedule. Requirements: Excellent command of appropriate codes and standards that apply to commercial PV installations, excellent understanding of scheduling and WBS, designing to budgets, construction and subcontractor activities, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, organizational skills, planning and controlling skills, analytical skills. BS (EE preferred) and 7+ years of experience, demonstrated experience designing projects in construction field and managing budgets, schedules and technical resources in project environment.

PV SYSTEMS ENGINEER - WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT

Working under the direction of the engineering manager, you will provide technical and engineering support for groSolar's large and growing dealer base and direct sales and installation group. The PV systems engineer is primarily responsible for generating system designs and supporting documentation for PV and solar hot water systems. Additional responsibility include mechanical systems design of innovative Balance of Systems components Significant potential for project diversity and professional growth is to be expected.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Engineering and specialized training in RE technologies; BS in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. A working knowledge of fundamental principals of electricity, building construction and familiarity with building and electrical codes is required, as is experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.

SOLAR SALES REPRESENTATIVE - ALBANY NY REGION

Immediate opening for a sales professional to serve our growing customer base in the greater Albany New York region.

This position requires strong math skills and a basic knowledge of construction. Renewable energy knowledge and experience is desired, however training will be provided to the right candidate. Qualified candidates will possess superior customer service, communication and presentation skills and have a solid verifiable track record in a professional sales environment. Some travel required including occasional overnight stays.

The successful candidate will live in the greater Albany New York area, be a self starting team player with a passion for the environment and a commitment to socially responsible business. Experience with standard computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point is required; knowledge of CRM applications is helpful. Minimum (5) years sales experience or suitable combination of education and sales experience is preferred.

VP OF CONSTRUCTION - WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT

Develop and operate construction department. Encompass commercial and residential installations, operate all facets of the construction division as a multi-state commercial and residential contractor. Put in place subcontracting framework (contracts and processes). Solicit, review, hire and manage major subcontractor relationships. Hire and manage Estimators, PM’s and others, manage interface between construction services dept. and sales dept, review legal requirements for performing services in each jurisdiction, lead continuous improvement. Requirements: Extensive commercial construction supervision and contracting experience, Plan reading, legal subcontract creation and negotiating, subcontractor selection, management, negotiation and gap analysis, construction estimating experience, project management, Engineering supervision, CPM scheduling, technical writing, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years of progressive management of projects over $3M.
