Panton Solar Project

Panton, Vermont
6.30 MW

Project Overview

groSolar was proud to develop, design, and construct this 6.3 megawatt (MW) (DC) solar project in partnership with Vermont utility Green Mountain Power. This project was constructed on open, unused agricultural land and is designed to optimize energy production by using state-of-the-art tracking panels. groSolar is the industry leader in the design and construction of ‘far north’ single-axis tracking projects; this technology allows panels to move slowly and silently with the direction of the sun and can increase a project’s production by up to 15 percent. The Panton solar project will produce over 9 million kilowatt hours of clean renewable energy each year; enough electricity to power nearly 700 homes or the equivalent to offsetting over 6000 metric tons of CO2.
